Birds sighted in the yard include: American Goldfinch (pictured above perched on a hummingbird feeder attached to the living room window), Varied Thrush, Swainson's Thrush, Northern Flicker, Black-Headed Grosbeak, Evening Grosbeak, Townsend's Warbler, Pileated Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Steller's Jay, Nuthatch, Junco, Purple Finch, House Finch, Pine Siskin, Chickadee, Sparrows (various), Towhee, House Finch, Rufous Hummingbird, Anna's Hummingbird, Bald Eagle (seen flying overhead and landing in nearby fir trees), and Cooper's hawk. All photos below were taken from the house.
